Fiscal Insights is an analytical solution that transforms data from the Public Digital Bookkeeping System (SPED) into advanced analysis models specifically aimed at managing companies in various sectors. The solution is prepared to process information from SPED Fiscal and Contributions, and other obligations defined by government institutions. The product has three versions: Fiscal, Contributions, and Auditor.
The main challenges in the fiscal area (and Controlling and Financial functions in general) addressed by the solution can be summarized as follows:
1. Identify opportunities for tax credit recovery based on commercial and financial transactions and taxes collected and recorded in the SPED file blocks over a given period.
2. Perform reconciliation securely, quickly, and efficiently by verifying data from SPED files and the ERP system before submitting them to inspection bodies.
3. Accelerate audit processes (e.g., inventory consistency) that involve sales, purchases, and transfers of products obtained from a consistent, standardized, and system-independent data source (e.g., SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, Totvs).
4. Extract insights and answer questions related to company management that involve processes in the commercial, logistics, and financial areas.
The main benefits of using the Fiscal Insights application include:
1. Greater autonomy and productivity for managers and analysts in business areas regarding data analysis and data discovery.
2. Use of data from the Public Digital Bookkeeping System (SPED), which is consistent, standardized, and easily accessible (does not depend on the IT department) as the main data source for analysis.
3. Can be used to assist both in tax analysis and business management.
The solution was implemented using the following components:
1. SPED VIP Engine: an engine implemented with Trifacta Wrangle Pro software that processes SPED data (Fiscal or Contributions) and transforms blocks into relational tables or text files (e.g., JSON, XML) for subsequent analysis.
2. Visual data analysis models in Power BI and Tableau.
3. Trifacta Wrangle Pro: the platform on which the SPED VIP engine runs.
